Notes | Black and white image of eleven members of the British music hall family. Those featured are: Daisy, Rosie, John, Grace, Alice, Father, Mother, Marie, Annie, Maud and Sidney. Marie Lloyd was famous for her racy music hall singing. She and her sisters also formed a singing group called the Fairy Bells Minstrels. Daisy, Rosie, Grace and Alice also all had successful music hall careers. Rotary Photographic Series Post Card, No. 1838 A. Reverse has handwritten message: "Dear Kitty. I thought you would like this better than the one I mentioned to you. Had 3 cards from France this morning, rather nice ones. The gloves etc. cost, for postage, 3d for each parcel. I cannot think how it is you are charged so much. Love to your parents - a kiss for yourself." |
