Notes 4 lantern slides from a set showing the ruins of Pompeii and probably dating from the early 1900s. Set was produced by Fradelle and Young of 283 Regent Street and are photographic slides which have been hand tinted. 31637/1 is number 4 in the set and is entitled 'Pompeii -a street; 31637/2 is number 7 and is called 'Pompeii -A Wine Shop'; 31637/3 is number 8 -entitled 'Pompeii -triumphal arch' it shows 2 male figures at the site; and 31637/4 - number 9 -is called 'Pompeii- interior of the museum' and shows cases of the petrified corpses displayed in the museum at Pompeii.
